Metas y motivaciones en el marco del asesoramiento vocacional a personas provenientes del extranjero

Abstract

Resumen: la diversidad de aprendizajes, decisiones vocacionales y opciones de inserción laboral, son resultado de variables biológicas, psicológicas, motivacionales, actitudinales, en interacción con el contexto sociofamiliar. Este trabajo cobra relevancia por la cantidad de investigaciones sobre el asesoramiento psicopedagógico vocacional-ocupacional, pero pocos dirigidos al trabajo interdisciplinario con personas provenientes del extranjero. Los objetivos propuestos se relacionan con la comparación de condicionantes y determinantes de la decisión vocacional entre la sociedad de procedencia y el país receptor, los cuales incorporan en su historia, corrientes migratorias motivadas por la búsqueda de oportunidades de inserción laboral, mejores condiciones económicas y de vida para sus familias. En el marco teórico se desarrollan las dimensiones: personal, y conceptos relacionados con la identidad, vocación y madurez; social por la transición de la cultura de origen al país receptor; laboral y educación superior. Por otra parte, el trabajo empírico consta de dos partes: primero, un estudio comparativo de cada etapa del proceso de orientación vocacional, entre una persona argentina, y una persona proveniente de Venezuela. Segundo, se lleva adelante un estudio comparativo y macrosociológico donde se evaluó metas y motivaciones vocacionales en el marco del asesoramiento vocacional-ocupacional a 110 participantes en situación de migración y 110 argentinos. Entre los resultados de esta investigación y un análisis de convergencias, se destacan la población proveniente del extranjero obtienen mejores puntuaciones en la mayoría de las escalas de la técnica EMVA: los bolivianos, venezolanos, chilenos y otros toman decisiones vocacionales-ocupacionales, motivadas principalmente por la realidad de su contexto familiar y metas afiliativas. Por tanto, aspiran a carreras profesionales valoradas prestigiosamente social e internacionalmente, como medio de superar la situación económica y académica de sus padres, retribuir su esfuerzo, y contribuir a necesidades familiares y de transición. En conclusión, se mencionan consideraciones en los procesos de orientación vocacional a personas en situación de migración.

Abstract: The diversity of learning, vocational decisions and options for job placement are the result of biological, psychological, motivational and attitudinal variables, in interaction with the socio-family context. This work is relevant for the amount of research on vocational-occupational psychopedagogical counseling, but few aimed at interdisciplinary work with people from abroad. The objectives of the study are related to the comparison of conditions and determinants of vocational choice between the society of origin and the receiving country, because the history of each society continues to incorporate migratory flows motivated by the search for opportunities for job insertion, better economic and living conditions for their families. In the theoretical framework, the dimensions are developed: personal, and concepts related to identity, vocation and maturity; social for the transition from the culture of origin to the host country; labor and higher education. On the other hand, the empirical work consists of two parts: first, a comparative study of each stage of the vocational orientation process, between an Argentine person, and a person from Venezuela. Second, a comparative and macro-sociological study was carried out in which vocational goals and motivations were evaluated within the framework of vocational-occupational counseling to 110 participants in a situation of migration and 110 Argentines. Among the results of this research and an analysis of convergences, the population from abroad obtains better scores in most of the scales of the EMVA technique stand out: people from abroad make vocational-occupational decisions, motivated mainly by the reality of their family context and affiliation goals. Therefore, they aspire to professional careers valued prestigiously socially and internationally, as a means of overcoming the economic and academic situation of their parents, repaying their efforts, and contributing to family and transition needs.
