Educación integral con sentido en tiempos de pandemia : programa UNISERVITATE

Abstract

Resumen: Este artículo describe las contribuciones del Programa Uniservitate (Porticus-CLAYSS) al desarrollo del Pacto Educativo Global. Uniservitate es un programa mundial, iniciado en 2019, que promueve la institucionalización del aprendizaje-servicio en Instituciones Católicas de Educación Superior. El Programa contribuye al desarrollo de la red amplia e interreligiosa de Cátedras Scholas (nutriéndose de su experiencia), y a las Instituciones de Educación Superior en su conjunto, desde una perspectiva poliédrica, global e intercultural, promoviendo el desarrollo de una educación integral que integre manos, cabeza y corazón. Sus objetivos son: 1) reflexionar e investigar sobre la contribución del aprendizaje-servicio al desarrollo de una educación integral (con foco en la dimensión espiritual), 2) desarrollar redes de asociación e intercambio interinstitucional a través de siete nodos regionales ubicados en cinco continentes, veinte universidades apoyadas y universidades asociadas, 3) institucionalizar el aprendizaje-servicio en Instituciones Católicas de Educación Superior. El artículo sistematiza, mediante una metodología mixta y en base a esos tres objetivos, las fortalezas y desafíos de la primera etapa de implementación del Programa. Su análisis evidencia la contribución de Uniservitate a la construcción de una Cultura del Encuentro en tiempos de fuertes cambios y transformaciones del mundo.

Abstract: This paper describes the contributions of the Uniservitate Programme (Porticus-CLAYSS) to the development of the Global Compact on Education. Uniservitate is a global programme, launched in 2019, that promotes the institutionalisation of service-learning in Catholic Higher Education Institutions. The Programme draws on (and contributes to the development of) the broad and interreligious network of Scholas Chairs, and Higher Education Institutions as a whole, from a multi-faceted, global and intercultural perspective, promoting the development of a holistic education that unites hands, head and heart. Its objectives are: 1) to reflect and research on the contribution of service-learning to the development of integral education (with a focus on the spiritual dimension), 2) to develop networks of partnership and inter-institutional exchange through seven regional hubs located on the five continents, twenty supported Catholic Higher Education Institutions and partner universities, 3) to institutionalise service-learning in Catholic Higher Education Institutions. The article systematises, through a mixed methodology and based on these three objectives, the strengths and challenges of the first stage of implementation of the Programme. Its analysis shows the contribution of Uniservitate to the construction of a Culture of Encounter in times of strong changes and transformations in the world.
