Abstract: This article synthesizes the contributions of the French School and the Russian School in the formation of the founding dancers of the SODRE Dance Corps. Between 1909 and 1929 Vaslav Nijinsky, Serguéi Diaghilev and Anna Pavlova arrived in Montevideo. As a result of the research of documentary sources, two programs found at the Solís Theater stand out: in 1913 Diághilev organized his season and in 1919 Anna Pavlova participated as a dancer and choreographer. The first program is written in Spanish and French, an aspect that demonstrates the influence of the French School. In the second program the technical requirement that the first dancer had to have to be able to interpret the characters of the released works is observed.
