Klavierstucke de Karlheinz Stockhausen : análisis de altura en las piezas N° 3 y N° 4

Abstract

Resumen: En el presente artículo se propone un breve análisis de la altura de las Piezas para piano N° 3 y 4 de Karlheinz Stockhausen. Este análisis se ha basado en la teoría de los Pitch Class Sets de Allen Forte. La primera pieza comentada - la N° 3 -, presenta una libre estructuración de la altura muy propia a la del atonalismo libre. Parte de una agrupación de cuatro notas, por distancias de semitonos, luego contrastada con un nuevo conjunto que incluye una 3a menor. Progresivamente estos grupos son ampliados en cantidad de elementos, encontrándose formaciones de cinco, diez y doce notas. Con respecto a la pieza N° 4, esta se encuentra ordenada en torno a segmentos hexacordales de igualdad interválica. Estos hexacordios son parte de series dodecafónicas, series que no guardan relación interválica entre sí, sino que solamente conservan un mismo criterio constructivo.

Abstract: In this article we show a brief analysis of the high of the pieces for piano number 3 and 4 by Karlekeinz Stockhausen. This analysis is based on the teory of the Pitch Class Sets by Allen Forte. The first piece, the number 3, shows a free structure of the pitch, similar to the atonalism. It comes fron the group of four notes, distanced by semitones, then contracts with a new group that include a minor 3. Later on these groups are expanded in the quantities of elements finding groups of five, ten and twelve notes. Regarding piece number 4, this is organized in hexachordals segments of the same i nterval. These hexaehordals are part of the decafonics series, series that have not any intervalic relations among them, but keep a same constructive criteria.
