Problemas de edición, traducción e interpretación en el poema de Mortibus Boum (vv. 8, 17 y 128)

Abstract

Resumen: La preparación de una edición crítica y traducción del poema bucólico De mortibus boum de Endelequio supone la selección de variantes que modifican el sentido del texto. Desde esta perspectiva, la confrontación de variantes implica una traducción preliminar anterior al resultado final en castellano. Las dificultades de los vv. 8, 17 y 128 ejemplifican este proceso interpretativo en el que se analiza el sentido potencial del texto de partida según las diferentes opciones de la tradición textual.

Abstract: The preparation of a critical edition and translation of the bucolic poem De mortibus boum by Endelechius involves the selection of variants that modify the meaning of the text. In this light, the comparison of variants presupposes a preliminary translation before the final outcome in Spanish: the problems in vv. 8, 17 and 128 illustrate this interpretative process in which the potential meaning of the text is analyzed in accordance to the several options of the textual tradition.
