La caída de Ícaro : usos del mito en la poesía de Aníbal Núñez

Abstract

Igual que muchos otros poetas españoles recientes o contemporáneos, el salmantino Aníbal Núñez (1944-1987) recurrió frecuentemente en sus textos a los personajes de la mitología grecolatina. Este trabajo rastreará particularmente la figura de Icaro, que será asociada con tres aspectos fundamentales de la poética (y ética) de Núñez: la dinámica de ascenso y caída que caracteriza la relación amorosa; el difícil lugar del poeta en las sociedades capitalistas; la ausencia del mito como garantía de valores trascendentes frente a lo que Gilbert Durand llamó “la mitología banal” y “el imaginario sobreexplotado” de nuestra época.

As well as many others recent or contemporary Spanish poets, Aníbal Núñez (Salamanca, 1944- 1987) often recurred to the characters of Classical mythology in his texts. This paper particularly traces the figure of Icarus, here associated with three key aspects of Núñez’s poetics (and ethics): the dynamics of ascent and fall typical of love; the difficult place of the poet in capitalist societies; the absence of myth as guarantee of transcendental values in opposition to what Gilbert Durand called “the banal mythology” and “the overexploited imaginary” of our time.
