Los valores en la Argentina : ideales y realidades

Abstract

Resumen: Es un 1º paso en la búsqueda de transformaciones estructurales “necesarias” en el país, a partir del estado y de la tendencia en la realidad cotidiana, de los valores eminentes para la convivencia social humana: la seguridad, la libertad, la equidad y la solidaridad, que resulta, pero sobre todo condiciona, sus formas institucionales. Se pregunta ¿Cómo estamos en el mundo? ¿Y en nuestro vecindario, los 5 países limítrofes? ¿Cómo hemos e- o in-volucionado? ¿Cómo hemos avanzado o retrocedido en el mundo? ¿Y en nuestro vecindario? La realización de los valores eminentes elegidos: seguridad, libertad, equidad y solidaridad es baja en Argentina. En más de la mitad de los ellos se ubica en el 50% inferior de la tabla de países. Las situaciones más dramáticas son la falta de libertad económica y la inequidad extrema (entre los más ricos y los más pobres). Sólo en 2 de los valores ha recuperado posiciones en los periodos analizados: en algunos aspectos de libertad - la civil - en los 80´s y de equidad en este siglo. Por contraste, se ha desplomado en libertad económica desde el 2000.

Abstract: This paper is a first step in the search of structural transformations “necessary” for the country, based on daily experiences, of the state and tendency of dominant values for human societies: security, freedom, equity and solidarity. They result, but even more condition, society´s institutional setups. It asks ¿How are we in the world? ¿And in our neighborhood of 5 countries? ¿How have we moved forward - or backward - in the world? ¿And in our neighborhood? On the basis of data since 1980 until today, from the most prestigious international surveys comprising over 100 countries, it shows that the realization of such values is low in Argentina. In more than half of them it ranks below the middle of the table of countries. The most dramatic situations are the lack of economic freedom and inequity in the extremes. In only 2 of the values it has recovered positions during the period under review: in some aspects of liberty - civil - in the 80´s and of equity in this century. On the other hand, in economic freedom it has plummeted since 2000.
