Descubriendo potencialidades a través de un proceso de orientación vocacional-ocupacional: experiencia de talleres grupales con jóvenes entrerrianos

Abstract

El presente trabajo se refiere a un proceso de orientación vocacional-ocupacional llevado a cabo con la modalidad de talleres grupales en la ciudad de Paraná, Entre Ríos. Los mismos tuvieron como objetivo favorecer el proceso de elección vocacional a partir del autoconocimiento de los orientados y del conocimiento de la realidad ocupacional. Las entrevistas se complementaron con la administración de diferentes técnicas específicas como inventarios, cuestionarios, test proyectivos, entre otras. Respecto a los resultados obtenidos, el proceso contribuyó al descubrimiento por parte de los participantes de sus recursos, fortalezas, talentos y capacidades, lo cual favoreció una posterior elección vocacional libre y autónoma basada en dichas potencialidades. Durante este recorrido, se promovió un clima de confianza, cálido, respetuoso, valorando de este modo el vínculo orientadora-orientado. Además, se tuvo la flexibilidad para adaptar y realizar modificaciones a medida que el mismo transcurría, teniendo en cuenta las necesidades, intereses y preferencias de los participantes. En todo momento, se buscó que los sujetos tuvieran un rol proactivo y fueran protagonistas del proceso y de su elección vocacional.

This paper makes reference to a vocational-occupational guidance process carried out in the form of group workshops in the city of Paraná, Entre Ríos. The objective of the workshops was to favour the process of vocational choice based on the self-knowledge of the oriented and the knowledge of the occupational reality. The interviews were complemented with the administration of different specific techniques such as inventories, questionnaires, projective tests, among others. With regard to the results obtained, the process contributed to the discovery by the participants of their resources, strengths, talents and abilities, which favoured a subsequent free and autonomous vocational choice based on these potentialities. During this process, a climate of trust, warmth and respect was fostered, thus valuing the guidance counsellor-guidance counselee bond. In addition, there was flexibility to adapt and make modifications as the course progressed, taking into account the needs, interests and preferences of the participants. At all times, the aim was for the subjects to play a proactive role and to be the protagonists of the process and of their vocational choice.
