Resumen : Abstract: This chapter considers “open semiotics” as a science of interrelatedness, taking Juri Lotman’s decentralizing, semiospheric thought as a starting point. It is divided into two parts: the first one addresses the theoretical foundations underpinning the key idea of explosion (highly topical for the Anthropocene debate). The second part covers its methodological exploration according to cultural affect theory, considering the concepts of “atmosphere” and “affective arrangement” in a decolonial key.
