Resumen :	Resumen: El presente artículo aborda la temática del manejo del tiempo y su evolución discursiva en la música de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Siempre ha existido un vínculo muy estrecho entre las diferentes estéticas que se fueron sucediendo históricamente y la forma de concebir el tiempo en la música. Los compositores, a través de los diferentes estilos compositivos, utilizaron herramientas diferentes para modular el tiempo, pero lo que nunca cambiaba era su funcionalidad esencial: el tiempo históricamente funcionaba como un regulador del discurso musical. Esto cambió en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Este artículo trata sobre ese cambio.
Tabla de contenidos:	Abstract: This article is about the handling of time and its discursive evolution in music of the second half of the 20th century. A tight bound has always existed between the different aesthetics that historically succeeded, and the way of conceiving musical time. Composers, throughout the different compositive styles, used different tools in order to modulate time, but what never changed was its essential functionality: time historically functioned as a regulator of musical discourse. This changed in the second half of the 20th century. This article is about that change.
