Libertella y Borges, o las patografías de Menard

Abstract

Resumen: Este trabajo busca subrayar algunos de los puntos de contacto y de discrepancia entre las obras de Héctor Libertella y Jorge Luis Borges. En una primera parte se enumeran y comentan algunas de las características generales de la obra de Libertella y de lo que la crítica ha dicho sobre la relación entre su obra y la de Borges. En una segunda parte, se analizan los cuatro ensayos principales que Libertella le dedicara a Borges y se complementan algunas de las ideas que propone Libertella con un estudio de las estrategias de autofiguración del Borges de la poesía posterior a los años cincuenta.

Abstract: The aim of this essay is to underline some of the similarities and discrepancies between Hector Libertella’s literary works and those of Jorge Luis Borges. The first part of the essay comments on some of the general characteristic of Libertella’s literary work and on what other critics have said about Borges’s influence on it. The second part of the essay analyses the four most important essays that Libertella dedicated to Borges’s work and expands on some of the ideas proposed by Libertella through the examination of the self-figuration strategies that Borges deployed in his poetry after the 50s.
