Las ideas sensibles entre Merleau-Ponty y Proust

Abstract

Resumen: El concepto de idea sensible ha sido elaborado por Merleau- Ponty para explicar las mutaciones que ha sufrido la relación del hombre con el ser. Esta noción nos permite pensar el encuentro de la carne del cuerpo con la carne del mundo y comprender cómo las esencias no pueden darse separadas de la experiencia. Este artículo tiene por objetivo elucidar la noción de idea sensible propuesta por el filósofo a partir de sus últimos escritos y de la novela de Proust, figura en quien Merleau-Ponty advierte la capacidad de expresar dichas ideas. Las ideas sensibles serán comprendidas entonces como nivel, como un invisible que habita el mundo, lo sostiene y lo hace visible.

Abstract: The concept of sensible idea was elaborated by Merleau-Ponty to explain the mutations that the relation among man and being underwent. This notion makes possible to think the meeting between the flesh of the body and the flesh of the world and to understand how essences cannot be separated from experience. The aim of the following article is to elucidate the notion of sensible idea proposed by the philosopher from his last writings and Proust´s novel, where Merleau-Ponty finds the ability to express these ideas. Sensible ideas will be understood as a level, as an invisible which inhabits the world, that holds it and makes it visible.
