Diplomacia naval en tiempos de guerra : la agregaduría naval argentina en Alemania y España durante la segunda guerra mundial

Abstract

Resumen: El presente trabajo no intenta estudiar las relaciones diplomáticas argentino- germanas durante la segunda guerra mundial –tema ya reseñado en tratados específicos–; sino mostrar dentro del marco de esas relaciones, cuáles fueron los aspectos relativos a la participación de la Armada Argentina como una de las instituciones armadas de la nación, a la vez que tratar de dilucidar si existió una corriente pro alemán entre los marinos –como aparentemente existió en el Ejército–, interesada en dar un sesgo germánico a la organización y armamento de la Armada. En dicha dinámica se estudiará a partir del eje central de la figura del capitán de fragata Eduardo A. Ceballos, sus comunicaciones e influencias dentro de aquel proceso histórico.

Abstract: This paper does not attempt to study the Argentine-German diplomatic relations during the Second World War, as outlined in issue-specific treaties, but to show in the context of these relationships, what were the issues relating to the participation of the Navy Argentina as one of the armed forces of the nation, while trying to figure out if there was a pro-German current among sailors, as apparently existed in the Army–, interested in giving a Germanic bias to the organization and armament of the Navy. In such dynamics will be studied from the central axis of the figure of Commander Edward A. Ceballos, communications and influences within that historical process.
