Abstract

Resumen: El objetivo de este relato es testimoniar el rol inspirador que Lucio Gera desempeñó en el proceso de gestación del Seminario Interdisciplinario Permanente Literatura, Estética y Teología. Hacia fines de 1997 nos convocó para organizar, dentro del marco del Instituto de Investigaciones Teológicas de la Facultad de Teología (UCA), del cual fue su primer director, un Seminario en el que la Teología comenzara a establecer un diálogo académico con la literatura. La multifacética figura de Lucio Gera, maestro y guía de varias generaciones, se desplegó también en este campo de búsqueda de la belleza. Superadora de dualismos reductores, desde la mirada recapituladora de la muerte, su figura se agiganta en la fecundidad del amor prodigado y nos invita a seguir abriendo sendas nuevas.

Abstract: The objective of this report is to witness the inspiring role played by Lucio Gera in the gestation of the Permanent Interdisciplinary Seminar Literature, Aesthetics and Theology. Towards the end of 1997 we agreed to organize, within the framework of the Theological Research Institute, Faculty of Theology (UCA), of which he was the first director, a seminar in which theology began to establish a dialogue with academic literature. The multifaceted figure of Lucio Gera, guide and mentor of several generations, was also deployed in the search field of beauty. Seen from the recapitulating standpoint of his death, his life and his work –which overcomes every reductionist dualism–, show their real importance and the fecundity of the love which inspired them, and invite us to keep on exploring new paths.
