Apiano : los presagios de poder como fuente de legitimación: el caso de Seleuco I

Abstract

Resumen: El presente trabajo tiene por intención realizar un aporte en el estudio de los presagios de poder que Apiano indicó para el fundador de la dinastía Seléucida. Para este fin, enunciaremos dichos presagios, y los analizaremos de acuerdo a la simbología que revistieron, con la intención de dar luz a la función legitimizadora del poder de Seleuco I y la grandeza romana al haber conquistado posteriormente sus territorios.

Abstract: The present work intends to make a contribution in the study of the presages of power that Appian indicated for the founder of the Seleucid Dinasty. For this purpose, we will enunciate these omens, and analyze them according to the symbology that they implicated, with the intention of enlight the legitimating function of Seleucus power and the roman greatness, having late conquered his territories.
