Historias cotidianas : expresión de violencia genérica

Abstract

Resumen: Se analizan las creencias, mitos, emociones y conductas asociadas a diversas historias de violencia de género con un grupo de mujeres asistentes a un Centro Comunitario Universitario, quienes concurrieron a un taller participativo de prevención, cuyo objetivo fue visibilizar situaciones de violencia, resocializar las creencias, emociones y respuestas comunes, y desarrollar habilidades para promocionar la equidad genérica en el interior de sus familias y relaciones de pareja. Los resultados aquí presentados describen las principales actitudes de las mujeres participantes, desglosadas en sus componentes cognitivo, afectivo y conductual, que contribuyen a mantener la violencia. Se evidencia la importancia de ofrecer espacios colaborativos de reflexión a partir de los cuales se cuestionen los mitos y actitudes que perpetúan y legitiman la violencia de género.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the beliefs, myths, emotions and behaviors associated with several stories of domestic violence with a group of women attending an University Community Center, with whom we developed a participatory workshop for prevention, which main objective was to make visible situations of violence, resocialize beliefs, emotions and responses to these various situations and the development of skills for the promotion of equity within their families and relationships. The results presented here expose the main attitudes of the women who participated (in their cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspects) that keep violence and show the importance of providing women with collaborative spaces of reflection from which to question the myths and attitudes that perpetuate and legitimize violence against women.
