Impulsividad y Empatía en adolescentes en conflicto con la ley penal

Abstract

Resumen: La presente investigación tuvo como propósito principal determinar el grado de relación existente entre las variables de impulsividad y empatía en los adolescentes pertenecientes al sector de Recepción de la Dirección de Responsabilidad Penal Juvenil. Y en segundo lugar, se examinó si existían relaciones significativas entre la escolaridad, edad, antecedentes judiciales e institucionales. Se trató de un estudio no experimental de tipo transversal, descriptivo-correlacional. Se trabajó con una muestra intencional de 40 adolescentes masculinos de entre 16 y 18 años de edad los cuales se hallaban internados en una institución correccional para menores de edad. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron las escalas de Barratt Impulsivity (BIS-11) e Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI), como así también una encuesta socio demográ$ca Ad hoc para indagar variables psicosociales. Los resultados indicaron la existencia de correlaciones negativas de intensidad moderada entre las dimensiones de Impulsividad motora y Toma de perspectiva. Por otra parte, se detectó una correlación positiva de intensidad moderada entre la edad y cantidad de antecedentes judiciales y por otro lado, una correlación negativa alta entre la escolarización y la cantidad de antecedentes institucionales de estos adolescentes

Abstract: The purpose of the present investigation was to determine the degree of relationship between the variables of impulsivity and empathy in adolescents belonging to the Reception sector. Subsequently, it evaluated whether there were signi$cant relationships between schooling, age, judicial and institutional antecedents. It was about a transverse type, non-experimental and descriptive-correlational study. Worked with an intentional sample of 40 male adolescents between 16 and 18 years old who were interned in a juvenile correctional institution. For the collection of data, scales of Barratt Impulsivity (BIS-11) and Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) were used, both scales adapted and validated to the Argentine population. In addition, an Ad hoc socio-demographic survey was used. Results indicated that there are negative correlations were also found of moderate intensity between the dimensions of Motor impulsivity and Perspective Taking. First, a positive correlation of moderate intensity was detected between Age and Amount of judicial records and on the other hand, a high negative correlation between Schooling and the amount of Institutional background of these adolescents
