Abstract

Abstract: This paper analyses the Etruria's description in the Gecgrahy of Strabo. Not only did this Greek scholar, who stayed in Rome many times in AugustanPrincipate, offer his readers -especially Greek readers- a very leamed description of the Etruscan . region, but, as we may think, he also related what he had witnessed himself in ltaly and learnt from sorne ofhis friends, who belonged to the Roman nobilitas.
