This article explores the concept of glitch at the intersection of digital aesthetics and contemporary philosophy, taking as a starting point Simon Kalajdiev’s presentation on Glitch Art in Tokyo. It investigates the potential of digital photography to generate disruptions that challenge cliché, in contrast with the work of Francis Bacon, whose manipulation of photographic images anticipates an analog glitch capable of revealing invisible forces and the inhuman within the body. The discussion is framed by Bernard Stiegler’s ambivalent reflections on the incalculable within closed systems, in dialogue with Heraclitus’s notion of anelpiston. Against technological euphoria and algorithmic governance, Deleuze’s diagrammatics is proposed as a means of affirming the improbable and rethinking the role of the accident as a critical resource.
