Resumen: This study encompasses a comprehensive review of relevant academic and scientific articles and books to analyse the role of SEL in enhancing communication and collaboration skills among adolescent students. In addition to investigating the significance and relation of SEL, EFL classrooms, and communication and collaboration skills in this context, this study contributes to the design of English as foreign language classes that consciously and explicitly take all this into account. For this reason, this paper not only considers how teachers can fulfil their teaching role while promoting these relational skills in the classroom but also suggests practical strategies that could be applied in the EFL classroom. The ultimate aim is to enable students to connect with learning and, even more importantly, with others.
