El orden de lo empírico y la función trascendental en Freud y Lacan: un recorrido crítico por el concepto de pulsión de cara al siglo XXI

Abstract

El artículo aborda la relación entre el orden empírico y la función trascendental en Freud y Lacan, tomando los desarrollos de Foucault en torno al nacimiento y la muerte del Hombre. Como unidad de análisis para tal examen se ubica al concepto de pulsión, que es teorizado desde un modelo antropológico del siglo XIX por Freud y reformulado bajo la luz estructuralista del siglo XX por Lacan. Teniendo en cuenta esta diferencia paradigmática y epistémica entre ambos autores, y rescatando la crítica foucaulteana a la infecundidad del sueño antropológico, se pretende problematizar los fundamentos epistemológicos de las direcciones contemporáneas del psicoanálisis (orientadas por las obras de Freud y/o Lacan) de cara a su porvenir.

The article examines the relationship between the empirical order and the transcendental function in Freud and Lacan, drawing on Foucault’s analyses concerning the birth and death of Man. The concept of drive is taken as the unit of analysis for this examination: theorized by Freud within a nineteenth-century anthropological model and reformulated by Lacan under the structuralist framework of the twentieth century. Considering the paradigmatic and epistemic differences between both authors, and following Foucault’s critique of the unproductiveness of the anthropological dream, the paper seeks to problematize the epistemological foundations of contemporary directions in psychoanalysis—those oriented by the works of Freud and/or Lacan—in view of their possible future developments.
