El origen común de la Ilustración y la Fe en la Cultura, según la Fenomenología del espíritu

Abstract

Este capítulo examina la relación entre Ilustración y Fe en la Fenomenología del espíritu de Hegel, sosteniendo que ambas no constituyen figuras autónomas sino contrafiguras que emergen de una misma matriz histórica y conceptual. A partir de una reconstrucción de la sección “El espíritu extrañado de sí; la Cultura”, se argumenta que ambas comparten un origen común en la dinámica de la cultura moderna y solo pueden comprenderse en su mutua implicación. El análisis pone el acento en la génesis de esta complementariedad y en su fundamento en la teoría fenomenológica del concepto. Desde esta perspectiva, el capítulo muestra que la separación entre Ilustración y religión resulta abstracta y que su relación constituye una clave para interpretar tensiones contemporáneas.

This chapter examines the relationship between Enlightenment and Faith in Hegel’s Phenomenology of Spirit, arguing that they are not autonomous figures but rather counterfigures emerging from a common historical and conceptual matrix. Through a reconstruction of the section “Spirit Alienated from Itself; Culture,” it shows that both share a common origin in the dynamics of modern culture and can only be understood in their mutual implication. The analysis focuses on the genesis of this complementarity and its grounding in the phenomenological theory of the concept. From this perspective, the chapter demonstrates that the separation between Enlightenment and religion is abstract and that their relation provides a key to interpreting contemporary tensions.
