Ortega y Gasset, a cien años de su llegada a la Argentina

Abstract

Resumen: El presente trabajo buscará, en primer lugar, repasar los aspectos principales de la visita inicial que realiza José Ortega y Gasset a la Argentina en 1916, viaje en cual el filósofo busca conocer a fondo el alma y la intimidad de los argentinos e incitarlos a crear una nación a la altura de los tiempos. En segundo lugar y a partir del repaso de sus dos viajes posteriores a este país, reflexionar acerca del llamado a la autenticidad que Ortega dirige a la sociedad argentina, en cada uno de sus tres viajes, como uno de los ejes sobre los cuales el filósofo basaría su vínculo con esta nación.

Abstract: The present work proposes first, to review the main aspects of José Ortega y Gasset’s initial visit to Argentina in 1916, moment in which the philosopher seeks insight into the soul and intimacy of Argentine people and to encourage the country to create a nation up with the times. Taking into account Ortega’s two subsequent trips to the country, the author also reflects on the call to authenticity the philosopher addresses to the Argentine society as one of the foundations on which he would base its relationship with this nation.
