Abstract

Una de las figuras eclesiales que ha permitido hacer una teología pastoral vivencial, profunda y encarnada ha sido el Beato Cardenal Eduardo Pironio. Se presenta en este artículo su semblante de pastor que vivió y animó la recepción del Concilio Vaticano II, se destacó como profeta de esperanza en tiempos difíciles y encarnó la opción por los pobres, fruto de la exigencia del Evangelio. Su vida y enseñanzas son un aporte importante para la disciplina de la Teología Pastoral.

One of the ecclesial figures who has made possible an experiential, profound and incarnated pastoral theology has been Blessed Cardinal Eduardo Pironio. This article presents his profile as a pastor who lived and animated the reception of the Second Vatican Council, who stood out as a prophet of hope in difficult times and who embodied the option for the poor, the expression of the demands of the Gospel. His life and teachings are an important contribution in the field of Pastoral Theology.
