¿Relaciones prematrimoniales en “situaciones-límite”?

Abstract

Resumen: Algunos moralistas católicos sostienen que, si bien las relaciones prematrimoniales son ilícitas en principio, podrían no serlo excepcionalmente, sobre todo en las llamadas “situaciones límite”. El presente artículo, tras mostrar la falta de rigor con que estos autores suelen definir y aplicar este último concepto, afirma que, de existir una auténtica “situación límite”, la licitud de tal conducta no daría lugar a una “excepción” sino a una figura moral diferente.

Abstract: For some catholic moralists, even though pre-matrimonial intercourse is illicit in principle, it could be exceptionally otherwise, especially in the so called “limit situations”. The present article, after showing the lack of precision with which these authors define and apply this concept, affirms that, when there is a real “limit situation”, the rightness of this conduct would not amount to an “exception” but to a different type of moral action.
