“Para que tengan vida...”

Abstract

Resumen: A partir del lema de la V Conferencia del Episcopado Latinoamericano, “Discípulos y misioneros de Jesucristo para que nuestros pueblos en Él tengan vida”, este artículo quiere ofrecer un estudio sobre esta temática en los libros que dedican mayor atención al tema de la vida en los dos Testamentos: el Deuteronomio en el Antiguo Testamento y los escritos joánicos en el Nuevo. Se tratará de rastrear el concepto de «vida» en relación con la forma en que lo recibieron de los pueblos más antiguos con los que estuvieron en contacto.

Abstract: Based on the lemma of the Fifth General Conference of the Latin America and the Caribbean Episcopal Council, “Disciples and missionaries of Jesus Christ so our peoples have life in Him”, this article aims to offer a study about this issue in those books primarily concerned with life in both Testaments: Deuteronomy in Ancient Testament and johanic writings in New Testament. The “life” concept will be tracked from the point of view of how it was received from older cultures in touch with these writings.
