La Teología en la formación de la conciencia histórica

Abstract

Resumen: La conciencia histórica es un factor fundamental en la construcción de una identidad. Un rasgo del individualismo posmoderno es la pérdida del sentido de la historia y la reducción de la conciencia al presente: el hoy, el momento, el instante. Esto sucede en todo el mundo en virtud de la contemporaneidad alcanzada por los medios de comunicación y las redes sociales, y se agrava por la falta de perspectivas y proyectos para el futuro, lo que crea incertidumbre y angustia. Esta meditación sigue cuatro momentos. En el primero, se apunta a renovar nuestra conciencia histórica poniendo el foco en la trama temporal de la vida personal y comunitaria (I). En el segundo el autor despliega varias relaciones entre la historia humana y la fe cristiana, prestando una atención principal al cristocentrismo de la historia (II). En la tercera sección se señala la novedad de la irrupción de la historia en la teología del siglo XX (III). Al final se presenta el fundamento histórico que guía a la Facultad de Teología e indica tres novedades puntuales que expresan la dimensión histórica en las tareas que hacemos para alcanzar los fines de la institución: investigar, enseñar y difundir la teología (IV). Abstract: Historical awareness is a fundamental factor in the construction of an identity. A feature of postmodern individualism is the loss of the sense of history and the reduction of consciousness to the present: the today, the moment, the instant. This is happening all over the world by virtue of the contemporaneity reached by the media and social networks, and is aggravated by the lack of prospects and projects for the future, which creates uncertainty and anguish. This meditation follows four moments. In the first, the aim is to renew our historical consciousness by focusing on the temporal fabric of personal and community life (I). In the second, the author unfolds various relationships between human history and the Christian faith, paying particular attention to the Christocentrism of history (II). The third section points out the novelty of the irruption of history in twentieth-century theology (III). At the end, the historical foundation that guides the Faculty of Theology is presented and three specific novelties are indicated that express the historical dimension in the tasks we carry out to achieve the goals of the institution: research, teaching and disseminating theology (IV).
