Publicaciones de la francofilia argentina

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es reflejar el esfuerzo realizado por la francofilia argentina que durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial publicó revistas y periódicos, por un lado, para difundir noticias de su patria espiritual y, por otro, para mantener unida a la comunidad. La razón francesa, la latinidad y las voces de Francia pueden mencionarse como algunos ejemplos proporcionados por francófonos para informar a los lectores argentinos sobre el curso de la guerra. Aunque sus estilos, periodicidad y temas eran diferentes, los tres apoyaron a los aliados y trataron de oponerse a "la creciente victoria de la raza germánica". El gobierno francés de Vichy fue la muestra de sumisión a la invasión germánica, y aunque Pétain estuvo justificado al aceptar el gobierno al inicio de la invasión germánica del territorio francés, luego fue descalificado por su "colaboración" con el enemigo. Las revistas reflejaban, aunque mínimamente, los serios desacuerdos de la comunidad francesa entre quienes apoyaban a Vichy ("vichistas") y quienes apoyaban a los aliados.

The purpose of this article is to reflect the effort made by the Argentine francophilia that during the Second World War published magazines and newspapers, on the one hand, to spread news of their spiritual homeland and, on the other hand, to keep the community united. The French Reason, Latinhood, and Voices from France can be mentioned as sorne examples provided by francophones to inform Argentine readers about the course of the war. Though their styles, periodicity and topics were different, the three of them supported the AlIies and tried to oppose to "the growing victory ofthe Germanic race". Vichy's French govemment was the sign of submissiveness to the Germanic invasion, and although Pétain was justified when accepting the govemment at the beginning of the Germanic invasion of the French territory, he was then disqualified due to his "collaboratíon" with the enemy. The magazines reflected, though minimally, the serious disagreements of the French community between those who supported Vichy ("vichistas") and those who supported the Allies.
