Las consecuencias políticas del voluntarismo en Guillermo de Ockham : ¿la via thomae como una alternativa?

Abstract

Resumen: El presente trabajo busca dilucidar las posibles consecuencias políticas surgidas de la filosofía voluntarista propuesta por Guillermo de Ockham. Se establecen tres problemas principales, entendidos como el positivismo ético, el fideísmo y el paso de la omnipotencia al absolutismo. A su vez se demuestra la conexión existente entre la teoría ockhamista y, futuras ideas y posiciones sostenidas por otros pensadores como Martín Lutero y Thomas Hobbes, también autores de estos efectos. Finalmente, se ofrece una comparación con la filosofía de Santo Tomás de Aquino en pos de analizar si la vía thomae podría presentarse como una alternativa frente a los resultados analizados anteriormente.

Abstract: This paper seeks to elucidate the possible political consequences arising from the voluntarist philosophy proposed by William of Ockham. Three main problems are established, understood as ethical positivism, fideism and the passage from omnipotence to absolutism. At the same time, the connection between the Ockhamist theory and future ideas and positions held by other thinkers such as Martin Luther and Thomas Hobbes, also authors of these consequences, is demonstrated. Finally, a comparison with the philosophy of Saint Thomas Aquinas is offered in order to analyse whether the via thomae could be presented as an alternative to avoid the consequences analysed above.
