Pedro de Leturia (1891-1955), jesuita, historiador y una arquitectura de relaciones

Abstract

Resumen: El artículo propone presenta pinceladas de la vida y las relaciones de Pedro de Leturia (1891-1955), jesuita polifacético que se movió entre archivos y documentos, historia e historiografìa, san Ignacio y Latinoamérica, alumnos y profesores de la Facultad de Historia Eclesiática de la Pontificia Universidad Gregoriana de Roma, que condujo desde su fundación. Los vínculos y prácticas históricas que este jesuita tejió a lo largo de los años como profesor, investigador y decano, sus encuentros y desencuentros en torno a la publicación de fuentes y la tarea del historiador, permiten relacionar un espacio de producción, una disciplina y una literatura, y abrir espacios para la reflexión y nuevos estudios.

Abstract: This article presents some aspects of the life and the relationships of Pedro de Leturia (1891-1955), a multifacetic Jesuit who dealt with files and documents, history and historiography, Saint Ignatius and Latin America, students and professors of the Faculty of Eclesiastic History of the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome, which he led since its foundation. The bonds and historical practices that this Jesuit forged through the years as a professor, investigator and dean, his agreements and disagreements as regards the publishing of sources and the task of the historian, allow to relate a space of production, a discipline and a literature, and to open spaces for reflection and for new studies.
