Synodalität in der Kirche Lateinamerikas

Abstract

Zusammenfassung: Nach einem von den orientalischen Kirchen geprägten ersten und einem von der abendländischen Kirche bestimmten zweiten Jahrtausend kündigt sich ein drittes Jahrtausend an, das von den Kirchen des Südens in einer interkulturellen Katholizität neu beseelt wird, die ihr theologales Zentrum in der Kirche von Rom hat und kirchlich und kulturell polyzentrisch konfiguriert ist. In diesem Kontext steht der folgende Beitrag. Er setzt ein mit einem historisch-theologischen Blick vom II. Vaticanum aus (1). Die anschließenden Überlegungen charakterisieren Synodalität als Ethos des gesamten Gottesvolkes (2) und als den lateinamerikanischen Weg (3), es folgen die Synodalität als Communio des Gottesvolkes (4) und die lateinamerikanische Umkehr der Kirche (5), abschließend wird die Frage nach der regionalen Synodalität auf Weltebene erörtert (6).

Abstract: Following a first millennium shaped by the oriental churches and a second millennium defined by the occidental church, a third millennium is announcing its arrival which is being newly inspired by the churches of the South in an intercultural catholicity that has its theologal centre in the church of Rome and is polycentrically configured with respect to the church and to culture. The following contribution is located within this context. It begins with a historical-theological view from the perspective of the Second Vatican Council (1). The subsequent reflections characterize synodality as an ethos of the entire people of God (2) and as the Latin-American path (3). Synodality as communio of the people of God (4) and the Latin-American conversion of the church (5) are then considered. In conclusion the issue of regional synodality on a global level is discussed (6).
