El amor romántico y la violencia de género

Abstract

Resumen: El presente estudio tiene como objetivo explorar la relación entre el Amor Romántico y la Violencia de Género en mujeres jóvenes y adultas de la provincia de Mendoza. Además, se pretende indagar el significado psicológico de los conceptos de Amor Romántico y Violencia de Género, y explorar la percepción y vivencias vinculadas al Amor Romántico y la Violencia de Género. La metodología del estudio es cualitativa, con un diseño fenomenológico. La muestra, por su parte, está constituida por 28 mujeres jóvenes y adultas de entre 20 y 59 años de edad. Respecto a los instrumentos, se utilizaron entrevistas semi-estructuradas y la técnica de Redes Semánticas Naturales, las cuales fueron analizadas por el software ATLAS-ti. Los resultados arrojados muestran que el relato de las participantes cuando hacían referencia a aquellas relaciones en las que habían sido víctimas de Violencia de Género, se encontraba impregnado de mitos del Amor Romántico que frecuentemente son promovidos por la estructura social y cultural actual. Además, se observó que las relaciones violentas que las participantes habían tenido, impulsaron a que las mismas comiencen a deconstruir la perspectiva romántica que tenían sobre el amor, para construir una perspectiva vinculada a un amor más saludable.

Abstract: The present study aims to explore the relationship between Romantic Love and Gender Violence in young and adult women in the province of Mendoza. In addition, it is intended to investigate the psychological meaning of the concepts of Romantic Love and Gender Violence, and explore the perception and experiences linked to Romantic Love and Gender Violence. The study methodology is qualitative, with a phenomenological design. The sample, for its part, is made up of 28 young and adult women between 18 and 59 years of age. Regarding the instruments, semi-structured interviews and the Natural Semantic Networks technique were used, which were analyzed by the ATLAS-ti software. The results obtained show that the participants' stories when they referred to those relationships in which they had been victims of Gender Violence, were impregnated with myths of Romantic Love that are frequently promoted by the current social and cultural structure. In addition, it was observed that the violent relationships that the participants had had led them to begin to deconstruct the romantic perspective they had about love, to build a perspective linked to a healthier love.
