Abstract

Resumen: Se describe el trazado de un camino bioético en la práctica clínica psicoterapéutica. El escenario incierto y disruptivo del Covid-19 lleva a un grupo de médicos, a consultar por ayuda a especialistas de la salud mental. Se describe el trabajo realizado por el Servicio de Salud Mental de un hospital general del conurbano bonaerense, en la asistencia de los equipos de salud que trabajan en la primera línea de atención, en tiempos de pandemia. Junto a la atención general de todas las personas que ingresan a la guardia, se incluye también a aquellas que forman parte de los distintos equipos de salud que integran el hospital, posicionándose en la intención de aliviar el sufrimiento y atender que sus derechos y preferencias sean respetados. Se despliegan herramientas e intervenciones enmarcadas en el respeto y la salvaguarda de la preciosidad y la dignidad de toda vida humana, respetando los valores de cada persona involucrada en el proceso, acentuando el enfoque personalista de la tarea.

Abstract: The uncertain and disruptive scenario caused by Covid-19 inspires a group of doctors to consult mental health specialists for advice. This document aims to describe the layout of a bioethical path in the practice of psychotherapeutic clinical. It describes the work done by the Mental Health Service of a Public Hospital located in the outskirts of Buenos Aires consisting of the assistance of frontline healthcare workers during the pandemic. Besides including the general care of all the people who enter the guard, the team also embraced those who are part of the different health teams that make up the hospital, positioning itself in the intention of alleviating suffering and ensuring that their rights and preferences are respected. Tools and interventions were framed in the respect and safeguarding of the preciousness and dignity of all human life, respecting the values of each person involved in the process and accentuating the personalist approach to the task.
