Abstract

Resumen: La Iglesia siguió un largo camino durante cinco siglos en América Latina y El Caribe, y hoy vive un momento especial de su marcha misionera. Esta nueva etapa no comenzó con el actual obispo de Roma, sino que recorrió el último medio siglo. Tuvo un inicio real y simbólico en el Concilio Vaticano II, si bien comenzó años antes. Últimamente, la Conferencia de Aparecida es un marco importante para entender el significado del actual pontificado. Este artículo enuncia de forma sintética un conjunto de procesos en curso, sin desarrollar sus contenidos. La mayoría de estas situaciones se podía advertir desde hace años, antes del Papa del fin del mundo. Pero, hoy, Francisco es un icono de la hora de la Iglesia latinoamericana con tonada argentina. En la secuencia, el texto distribuye los procesos y las claves en tres grupos: los nueve primeros son sobre América Latina (1-9); los siete siguientes sobre nuestra Iglesia (10-18); los nueve últimos sobre Francisco (19-30).

Abstract: After five centuries of History in Latin America and Caribe, the Catholic Church is in a special moment in its missionary route. This new moment did not begin recently, with Bergoglio as Bishop of Rome, but has done History over the last 50 years. Certainly, the II Vatican Council has been an important and symbolic new dawn for Latin-American Church. Recently, the Aparecida Conference become a milestone to understand the present pontificate of Francis. This paper exposes, in a synthetic way, an ensemble of different processes underway, without explain its entire elements. Most of this processes started years ago, before the Pope arrived “from the end of the world”. Although, Pope Francis is a real icon in the present time of Latin-American Church, with an Argentinian accent. The mentioned processes are classified in three interpretation keys: the first nine of them are on Latin America (1-9); the following seven, on the Church (10-18); the last nine are on Pope Francis (19-30).
