«Un nuevo género de literatura cívica» para la reforma de la Iglesia : significado teológico de los informes internacionales sobre los abusos

Abstract

Resumen: Esta contribución pone de relieve, primero, la novedad, relevancia y variedad de informes internacionales producidos desde ciencias no teológicas que tienen como foco de análisis a la Iglesia católica, su autocomprensión, su cultura institucional, su praxis organizacional a los diferentes niveles, posibles causas y consecuencias del fenómeno de los abusos. Ellos vehiculizan, en buena medida, las experiencias y las voces de las víctimas. En segundo lugar, se caracteriza una transformación en la metodología teológica que colabora a responder la pregunta sobre el significado de dichos informes. Tercero, este artículo destaca cómo ese modus procedendi ha tenido una aplicación en la encíclica Laudato si'. Cuarto, se muestra que en el Vaticano II esta forma de proceder fue propuesta para repensar la misma constitución de la Iglesia, no solo los temas de la llamada doctrina social. Se concluye con reflexiones que destacan el significado teológico de este «nuevo género de literatura cívica» a la luz del itinerario recorrido. Con los informes queda planteado un desafío ineludible al gobierno de la Iglesia y a los estudios teológicos.

Abstract: This contribution highlights, first, the novelty, relevance and variety of existing non-ecclesial interdisciplinary International reports that analyse the Catholic Church, its self-understanding, its organizational praxis at different levels, and the possible causes and consequences of the abuse phenomenon. These reports ex- press, to a large extent, the experiences and voices of the victims. Second, this essay illustrates a transformation in the theological methodology that helps to answer the question about the meaning of these reports. As a third element, this article highlights how this modus procedendi was applied in the encyclical Laudato Si. And Fourth, it shows that at Vatican II this way of proceeding was proposed to rethink the constitution of the Church, and not only the themes of the so-called Social Doctrine. Finally, the conclusion of the article provides reflections that high- light the theological significance of this «new genre of civic literature». Therefore, these international reports pose an inescapable challenge to Church governance and theological studies.
