El complejo Cielito : su música

Abstract

Resumen: con el nombre distintivo de cielito, estrictamente, se encuentran en la música tradicional argentina, tres expresiones. Es por eso que nos referimos a un complejo, un conjunto que las abarca, cuyos elementos han sido distinguidos con esta denominación ya en el pasado. Uno de ellos es especie lírica y los otros dos lo son coreográfica. Nos centramos en el estudio de su música y, para el caso de uno de ellos, observamos especialmente el desarrollo que tuvo durante el siglo XX y su situación actual, pues como danza de estrado se presenta vigente, con desarrollo propio y buena difusión.

Abstract: We strictly find three expressions with the distinctive name of ‘cielito’ in Argentine traditional music. That is why we refer to it as a complex comprising the three elements, which have already been distinguished under that denomination in the past. One of them is of a lyrical type while the remaining two are choreographic. We centre in the study of their music, and in the case of one of them we specifically focus in its development throughout the 20th century and its current situation –a stage dance, still in force, with its own development and great diffusion.
