Entre la intimidad y la literatura : los hallazgos narrativos del Borges de Bioy Casares

Abstract

Resumen: El presente trabajo busca aplicar los principios estructuralistas condensados en la obra Análisis estructural del relato al diario íntimo de Bioy Casares dedicado a la figura de su amigo y gran escritor argentino Jorge Luis Borges. A través de este método, buscaremos analizar cómo el diario, con su pretendida veracidad o sinceridad, está organizado o puede leerse desde principios narrativos y qué posibilidades le cabe al género para expresar eso tan escurridizo que llamamos intimidad y que en teoría agrupa una familia de textos entre los que se encuentran el diario, las cartas, las autobiografías, los libros de brevedades, etc.

Abstract: The paper presented seeks to apply the structuralist principles condensed in the book Structural Analysis of Narrative to the intimate diary Bioy Casares dedicated to the figure of his friend and well-known argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. Through this method, we shall try to analyse how the diary, with its pretended veracity or sincerity, is organised or can be read from narrative principles. Therefore, we would like to question what possibilities the genre has of expressing something as slippery as intimacy, which, theoretically, groups a family of texts amongst which diaries, letters, autobiographies, books of notes, etc. can be found.
