Identificación automática en las bibliotecas : códigos de barra, códigos QR y RFID

Abstract

Resumen: La automatización de las bibliotecas, tiene dentro de sus objetivos convertirse en una herramienta útil para agilar procesos y dinamizar los servicios de las unidades de información. En este esfuerzo, las bibliotecas han comenzado a incorporar desde hace un tiempo sistemas de identificación automática, aprovechando las ventajas que ofrece el rápido desarrollo de la tecnología, y así mejorar su productividad y eficiencia. La identificación automática, podría definirse en rasgos muy generales como una herramienta que permite la recolección sistematizada de información, la cual es almacenada en forma codificada. En el presente trabajo se abordarán tres sistemas de identificación automática utilizadas y en vías de ser utilizadas hoy por parte de las bibliotecas, los mismos son: el código de barras, el código QR y el sistema RFID.

Abstract: The automation of libraries, has within its objectives become a useful tool to streamline processes and streamline the services of information units. In this effort, libraries have begun to incorporate automatic identification systems for some time, taking advantage of the advantages of the rapid development of technology, thus improving their productivity and efficiency. The automatic identification, could be defined in very general traits like a tool that allows the systematized collection of information, which is stored in codified form. In the present work, three systems of automatic identification used and being used today by the libraries will be addressed, these are: the bar code, the QR code and the RFID system.
