Configuración y estado actual de un paisaje cultural portuario en la ciudad de Paraná

Abstract

Resumen: Con este trabajo proponemos una lectura del borde ribereño de la ciudad de Paraná (Argentina) dentro de sus límites ejidales y particularmente del sector que comprende el Puerto Nuevo, considerando la categoría de paisaje cultural, entendido como resultante histórica de la interacción en el tiempo y el espacio de una sociedad y su medio ambiente (UNESCO, 1992). Efectuamos primeramente una reconstrucción sintética de los procesos de ocupación de la costa, su articulación con la trama urbana y la importancia de las sucesivas localizaciones portuarias de la ciudad (hoy en gran parte relictos culturales) como estructurantes del actual paisaje ribereño. A partir de allí, profundizamos en el área del Puerto Nuevo y su entorno, con especial referencia y ponderación a su patrimonio actual, tangible e intangible. Consideramos que con este trabajo se hace un aporte a la preservación de dicho patrimonio, entendiendo a la producción de conocimiento científico, su circulación y difusión como insumos para la concienciación de su valor y su resignificación social como bien público, histórico, cultural e identitario.

Abstract: With this work we propose a reading of the riverside edge of the city of Paraná (Argentina) within its ejidal limits and particularly of the sector that includes the Puerto Nuevo, considering the category of cultural landscape, understood as a historical result of the interaction in time and space of a society and its environment (UNESCO, 1992). Firstly, we carried out a synthetic reconstruction of the processes of occupation of the coast, its articulation with the urban weft and the importance of the successive port locations of the city (today largely cultural relicts) as structuring elements of the current river landscape. From there, we delve into the area of the Puerto Nuevo and its surroundings, with special reference and weighting to its current, tangible and intangible heritage. We consider that with this work a contribution is made to the preservation of said heritage, understanding the production of scientific knowledge, its circulation and dissemination as inputs for the awareness of its value and its social resignification as a public, historical, cultural and identity asset.
