Gumersindo Sánchez Guisande (1892-1976), : un pediatra compostelano en el exilio

Abstract

Resumen: El estudio se centrará en la figura del Doctor Gumersindo Sánchez Guisande (1892-1976), exiliado en la Argentina en el contexto de la Guerra Civil española. Partiendo de una historia particular, el acontecer de este médico muestra también una experiencia colectiva. A partir de documentos familiares, fuentes institucionales y archivos periodísticos, se reconstruye su trayectoria, la cual mostrará la búsqueda de nuevos espacios de inclusión así como su voluntad de prolongar su militancia. Será posible repasar asimismo mecanismos de resistencia, de inserción y de participación individual y grupal.

Abstract: The study will focus on the figure of Doctor Gumersindo Sánchez Guisande (1892-1976), exiled in Argentina in the context of the Spanish Civil War. Starting from a particular story, the occurrence of this doctor also shows a collective experience. From his family documents, institutional sources and journalistic archives, his career is reconstructed, which will show the search for new spaces of inclusion as well as his will to prolong his militancy. It will also be possible to review mechanisms of resistance, of insertion and of individual and group participation. Resumo: O estudo se concentrará na figura do Doutor Gumersindo Sánchez Guisande (1892-1976), exilado na Argentina no contexto da Guerra Civil Espanhola. Partindo de uma história particular, a ocorrência desse médico também mostra uma experiência coletiva. A partir de documentos familiares, fontes institucionais e arquivos jornalísticos, sua carreira é reconstruída, o que mostrará a busca por novos espaços de inclusão, bem como sua disposição em prolongar uma militância. Também será possível rever mecanismos de resistência, de inserção e de participação individual e grupal.
