La liturgia del futuro o el futuro de la liturgia

Abstract

Resumen: En el contexto celebrativo del 50° aniversario de la inauguración del Concilio Vaticano II (1962-2012), y de la renovación litúrgica propuesta por la Constitución Sacrosanctum Concilium, el autor plantea un balance de la aplicación de los principios que fijaron la reforma. Repasa sintéticamente el ‘magisterio litúrgico’ de las últimas décadas, mostrando la línea de continuidad existente, como también la desorientación surgida en amplios sectores de la Iglesia por el alcance que ha tomado el Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum y la aplicación del mismo a través de la Instrucción de la Comisión Ecclesia Dei, con la cual se regula la problemática causada por el cisma de Lefébvre. En este marco se proponen algunos criterios que deberían encauzar el futuro de la liturgia.

Abstract: In the context of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Second Vatican Council (1962-2012) and of the liturgical renewal proposed by the Constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium, the author sets out to make an assessment of the implementation of the principles which underlined the reform. He goes briefly over the ‘liturgical magisterium’ of the last decades, showing that there is not only a thread of continuity but also a disorientation which has emerged in broad Church sectors, by reason of the scope reached by the Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum and by its implementation through the Ecclesia Dei Commission Instruction, which regulates the problematic issues caused by Lefébvre’s schism. Within this framework, he suggests some criteria which ought to channel the future of liturgy.
