Nicea y algunas consecuencias eclesiológicas para hoy

Abstract

Con ocasión de los 1.700 años de la realización del concilio de Nicea (325), el autor analiza cinco aspectos históricos del sínodo que iluminan la eclesiología: (1) qué entender hoy por sinodalidad; (2) cómo los procesos político-institucionales y cul- turales han influido en la estructura de la Iglesia; (3) la mutua relación entre iglesia local, Iglesia universal y recepción, como realidad teológica; (4) los desafíos que presenta actualmente la relación entre episcopado y teología; y (5) la envergadura que pudieran tener los cambios en la Iglesia, a partir del desarrollo dogmático.

On the occasion of the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea (325), the au- thor analyzes five historical aspects of the synod that shed light on current eccle- siology: (1) what is meant by synodality today; (2) how political, institutional, and cultural processes have influenced the structure of the Church; (3) the mutual rela- tionship between the local church, the universal Church, and reception as a theolo-gical reality; (4) the challenges currently presented by the relationship between the episcopate and theology; and (5) the scope that changes in the Church could have, based on dogmatic development.
