Hacia un rito amazónico decolonial

Abstract

Este estudio indaga la viabilidad de establecer un rito litúrgico que refleje la identidad y espiritualidad de las comunidades amazónicas, en contraste con las prácticas eclesiales de origen eurocéntrico. El propósito primordial es examinar el documento producido por la Subcomisión Histórico-Cultural, en un diálogo con el pensamiento decolonial latinoamericano, con el fin de fomentar la reflexión y acción hacia un rito con carácter amazónico. Se subraya la relevancia de escuchar, comprender y apreciar las diversas manifestaciones religiosas existentes en la región amazónica, así como el imperativo de impulsar la participación activa de los pueblos originarios en la formulación de este rito. Se destaca la necesidad inmediata de reflexionar sobre una praxis y teología litúrgica que desafíe las estructuras sexistas y racistas, promoviendo celebraciones religiosas inclusivas y contextualizadas.

This study investigates the feasibility of establishing a liturgical rite that reflects the identity and spirituality of the Amazonian communities, in contrast to eccle-sial practices of Eurocentric origin. The primary purpose is to examine the do cument produced by the Historical-Cultural Subcommission, in a dialogue with Latin American decolonial thought, with the aim of promoting reflection and ac-tion towards a rite with an Amazonian character. The relevance of listening to, un-derstanding, and appreciating the various religious manifestations existing in the Amazon region is emphasized, as well as the imperative to boost the active partici-pation of indigenous peoples in the formulation of this rite. The immediate need to reflect on a liturgical praxis and theology that challenges sexist and racist structu-res, promoting inclusive and contextualized religious celebrations, is highlighted.
