Movimientos sociales y relaciones internacionales. Un nuevo marco analítico para analizar el movimiento black lives matter y las protestas de 2020 por George Floyd

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar el movimiento Black Lives Matter y las protestas de 2020 tras la muerte de George Floyd a la luz de la disciplina de las Relaciones Internacionales. Estas protestas habrían tenido distintas repercusiones en el sistema interestatal, la sociedad internacional y la sociedad mundial. De esta manera, la Escuela Inglesa permite la vinculación entre lo que tradicionalmente se considera asuntos de política doméstica estadounidense con las dinámicas de la política internacional, siendo un aporte útil para el debate en torno a la crisis del Orden Liberal.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the Black Lives Matter movement and the 2020 protests following the death of George Floyd through the lens of the discipline of International Relations. These protests would have had different repercussions on the interstate system, international society and world society. Therefore, the English School enables the linkage of what are traditionally considered as domestic U.S. policy issues with the dynamics of international politics, being a useful contribution to the debate on the crisis of the liberal order.
