La dimensión espiritual de la liturgia

Abstract

Resumen: Para investigar la dimensión espiritual de la liturgia es preciso volverse hacia las dos fuentes principales de la teología: los textos cristianos clásicos y la experiencia humana universal. El artículo presenta el análisis de un texto del Nuevo Testamento (Juan 4, 21-24) sobre el culto en el Espíritu de la verdad, y de un texto magisterial del Concilio Vaticano II (Sacrosanctum Concilium 43): la liturgia como señal de la Providencia y paso del Espíritu Santo en la Iglesia. Luego trata de estudiar el sentido y la verdad de la experiencia humana, y presenta a tres pensadores clásicos sobre la experiencia religiosa. Concluye tratando de correlacionar los datos de los textos de las Escrituras cristianas y de la Tradición con el pensamiento actual.

Abstract: In order to study the spiritual dimension of liturgy we need to search in the two sources of theology: the christian classical texts, fundamentally those of the Holy Scriptures, and the universal human experience. The author analyzes a text from the gospel of John (4, 21-24) about the adoration in “the Spirit of truth”, and a text from the II Vatican Council (Sacrosanctum Concilium 43) which states that liturgy is a sign of the Providence and a presence of the Holy Spirit in the Church of Christ. Then the author attempts to study the meaning and truth of the human experience, and shows three classical thinkers of religion. The article ends trying to show the adequacy of the “Spirit of truth” theme with the conclusions of some relevant theologians.
