La recepción de Newman en la teología del siglo XX

Abstract

Resumen: Desde la hermenéutica de la Teología de la historia, el autor repasa los momentos más significativos de la Teología del último siglo, procurando descubrir el lugar y la aceptación no sólo de la obra de Newman, sino de Newman mismo en el desarrollo de la ciencia teológica. El autor y las obras estudiadas hasta ahora permiten descubrir su “presencia”, no de modo exhaustivo sino sólo representativo. Desde un punto de vista histórico se busca poner de manifiesto la importancia que la Teología asigna a determinadas cuestiones newmanianas.

Abstract: From the point of view of hermeneutics of theology’s history, the author reviews the most significant moments of last-century theology. He intends to discover the place and acceptance of Newman and his work in the development of theological science. The authors and works studied up to now point out this “presence”, but they do not pretend to be exclusive; they’re merely representative. From a historical point of view, an aim is to emphasize the importance of certain Newman issues for theology.
