Las autobiografías de historiadores, entre la literatura y el testimonio autobiográfico

Abstract

Resumen: Este texto explora el género de las autobiografías de historiadores desde una perspectiva histórica, literaria e historiográfica. Estos textos funcionan tanto como fuente de documental histórica como artefacto literario y fuentes de transformación historiográfica. El autor postula el desarrollo, durante el siglo XX, de seis estilos autobiográficos por parte de los historiadores que escribieron sobre su vida: humanístico, biográfico, monográfico, egohistórico, postmoderno e intervencional. Cada uno de ellos representa un modo de concebir la historia para cada uno de los autores, quienes proyectan en sus autobiografías esa concepción historiográfica.

Abstract: This text explores the genre of historians' autobiographies from a historical, literary and historiographical perspective. These texts function both as a source of historical documentary and as a literary artifact and sources of historiographical transformation. The author postulates the development, during the 20th century, of six autobiographical styles by the historians who wrote about his life: humanistic, biographical, monographic, egohistorical, postmodern and interventional. Each of them represents a way of conceiving history for each of the authors, who project that historiographical conception in their autobiographies.
