Aportes históricos al crecimiento de la bioética clínica

Abstract

Resumen: La Bioética está hoy orientada, en su aspecto clínico, a resolver situaciones que involucran la relación médico paciente y que incluyen decisiones relacionadas con el inicio y el fin de la vida, el rechazo a tratamientos y también, con la aparición de las biotecnologías, los dilemas originados cuando los procedimientos de asistencia no están disponibles para todos (demanda de salud en relación con la gestión equitativa y eficiente de los recursos sanitarios). Hoy es una disciplina necesaria en la práctica cotidiana. Pero entendiendo que en nuestra sociedad, y en particular en nuestros Comités de Bioética clínica, la antropología de referencia, si existe, es variada, debemos realizar primero un esfuerzo para distinguir, desde los objetos formales, las distintas corrientes que hoy están desarrolladas: la Bioética principialista, la Bioética de los derechos humanos y la Bioética personalista ontológicamente fundada, para finalmente buscar esa antropología más sólida que nos permita descubrir la verdad.

Abstract: Nowadays, Bioethics is clinically oriented to solve situations involving physician-patient relationship, which include decisions related to the beginning and the end of life, the rejection to treatments and to the biotechnology emergence, and dilemmas originated when care procedures are not available for everyone (health demand in relation to equitable and efficient management of health resources). Today, this became a necessary discipline in daily practice. Nevertheless, being aware of the fact, that in our society and in particular, in our Committees of Clinical Bioethics, said anthropology is varied, if there is any. We first have to make an effort to distinguish, based on formal objects, the different schools developed at present: principlist Bioethics, human rights Bioethics and ontology-based personalistic Bioethics, to reach a more solid anthropology, which will help us to uncover the truth finally.
