Bioética y trascendencia : la perspectiva cristiana en el mundo secular

Abstract

El mundo actual se caracteriza por la diversidad de justificaciones morales, por lo que resulta arriesgado referirse a una única Bioética. Esta diversidad lleva a muchos autores a defender la necesidad de establecer una bioética secular, que ignora el pensamiento religioso y las manifestaciones de la cultura. El artículo analiza los caminos que atraviesa la bioética secular, en el contexto de creciente secularización del mundo actual para, finalmente, hacer referencia a los aportes que puede ofrecer una bioética cristiana.

Modern world is characterized by the diversity of the existing moral justifications, so it is risky to say there is only one Bioethics. This diversity leads many authors to defend the need for establishing a secular bioethics, which disregards religious thought and culture manifestations. This paper analyzes the paths of secular bioethics in the context of the increasing secularization of today´s world and, finally, it refers to the contributions a christian bioethics can make.
