Del cliché al hecho pictórico : la función del diagrama pictórico en la creación de mundo en Gilles Deleuze

Abstract

Resumen: Este trabajo tiene como fin analizar la función del diagrama tanto en el proceso de la creación de mundo como en la realización del hecho pictórico . El artista, señala Deleuze, nunca se enfrenta al lienzo o al papel totalmente blanco puesto que ya todo se encuentra hecho. En una dimensión pre-pictórica, el artista debe luchar contra el cliché, aquello que ya está dado en la tela, todo motivo ya representado, ya fijado y que forma parte del caos o catástrofe que precede a la pintura. Contra este cliché, el artista debe emplear la máquina abstracta del diagrama, que hace surgir del caos lo nuevo. La hipótesis central de este trabajo es que por medio del diagrama pictórico el pintor deviene-mundo y crea un mundo, el cual es posible porque el diagrama es lo que hace al hecho nuevo posible.

Abstract: This work aims to analyse the function of the diagram both in the process of world creation as well as in the realization of the pictoric fact. The artist, notes Deleuze, never faces a totally white canvas or sheet of paper because everything has already been done. In a pre-pictoric dimension, the artist must struggle against the cliché, that which is already there on the canvas, every motif already represented, already fixed and which is part of the chaos or catastrophe that preceeds the painting. Against the cliché, the artist must employ the diagram, or abstract machine, which allows the new to arise from the chaos. The main hipothesis of this paper is that by the pictoric diagram the painter becomes-world and creates world, which is possible because the diagram is that which makes the new fact possible.
